Studio Hersan is an architecture and landscape practice working across the line between building and ground. Founded as a partnership between an architect and a landscape architect, the studio treats structure and terrain as one continuous project — a building is understood as a way of shaping land, and land as the first material of any building.
We work at every scale from a single room to a public shoreline, in the Nordic countries and beyond. Our method is slow, material and site-led: few materials, left to weather; forms drawn from the contours already there.
